Yesterday, BWW reported that a Glee spin-off, centered on Lea Michele's fictional character Rachel Berry could be in the works according to Radaronline.

Today, Deadline reports that Glee creator and co-writer Ryan Murphy has denied the report from yesterday afternoon. Murphy recently confirmed that he would honor the series' two-season order following the unexpected death of GLEE star Cory Monteith, and that the show's upcoming sixth season would be its last.

Murphy also shared that Monteith's tragic death in July has forced him to rethink his plan for ending the show, now in its fifth season.

Before reports of a Michele spin-off arose, there had been rumors that Murphy would center the final season on her character's moving forward following Finn's death. Murphy's attention is now focused on a pilot titled Open, for HBO, which will feature Cheyenne Jackson, as a "handsome meth addict". Filming is set to get underway in February.
