Rian Johnson's KNIVES OUT Adds Toni Collette to Star

Variety reports Toni Collette will co-star in Rian Johnson's new murder mystery "Knives Out."

The movie also stars Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Ana de Armas. Johnson writes, directs, and produces the production.

The film is a modern-day murder mystery in the classic whodunit style, infused with Johnson's original voice that informed films from "Brick" to "Looper." Craig will star as a detective assigned to solve the crime.

Collette was critically lauded for her performance in the A24 thriller "Hereditary." She was Oscar-nominated for "The Sixth Sense," and received a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her role in the TV series "United States of Tara." Collette won a SAG Award in 2006 for "Little Miss Sunshine," as well as receiving a Tony nomination for musical "The Wild Party."
