NBC's LAW & ORDER SVU Grows +11%; Equals 14-Month High

NBC finished within 0.2 of the nightlong win in adults 18-49 versus all-original competition on the Big 4 networks, including Fox's "American Idol" and series premiere of "2nd Chance"). "Chicago P.D." (2.0/7 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) gows week to week versus last week's "Chicago" triple-crossover conclusion (2.0 vs. 1.9, +5%), while capturing the show's highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in 18 months.

Delivers the show's highest 18-49 rating since Nov. 12, 2014 (2.2 in 18-49) and equals the show's highest rating ever excluding crossovers, and earned the top non-crossover rating since the series premiere also did a 2.0 on Jan. 8, 2014.

Dominates the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC, winning in every key measure and has now finished #1 or tied for #1 in 18-49 versus the time period's regular ABC and CBS drama competition with last 26 regular-slot originals, dating back to November 2014.

Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD -- last week's "Chicago P.D." increased by +52% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (1.88 to 2.86) and by more than 3.4 million persons in total viewers (8.7 million vs. 12.2 million). The 3.448 million lift for "Chicago P.D." was the show's biggest-ever increase going from L+SD to L+3

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grows +11% week to week to equal a 14-month high in 18-49 and generates its highest rating since Nov. 11, to match its season high and best since a Nov. 12, 2014 crossover episode (2.4).

Ties CBS's "Criminal Minds" for #2 in the time period among the Big 4. In total viewers, hits the show's high since its season premiere, Sept. 23 (8.3 million) and ill add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - Last week's "SVU" grew +48% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (1.76 to 2.60) and by 2.2 million persons in total viewers (7.8 million vs. 10.0 million).


"The Mysteries of Laura" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):
· Equals its season high in 18-49 and highest rating since the Feb. 25, 2015 telecast featuring guest star Erick McCormack.
· In total viewers, locked up a season high and the show's biggest overall audience since that Feb. 25, 2015 episode.
· Grows +20% week to week in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.0) and +10% in total viewers (7.536 million vs. 6.841 million).
· Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD -- Last week's "Laura" grew +34% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (1.04 to 1.39) and by more than 1.5 million persons in total viewers (6.8 million vs. 8.4 million).
· Upscale: "Laura" is delivering a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 109 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:

· In adult 18-49 rating in the local people meters, Fallon (1.2) topped the combined results of CBS's "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" (0.5) and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (0.6).

· In 18-49 in the local people meters, Meyers (0.6) beat Colbert (0.5) and tied Kimmel (0.6), despite Meyers' later start time.

· In 18-49, Carson Daly's encore (0.4) doubled Corden (0.2), despite starting an hour later, and tied "Nightline" (0.4), despite starting 90 minutes later.


· Fallon's guests Wednesday night included Danny DeVito, Khloe Kardashian and musical guest Colin Hay with The Roots.

· Meyers' guests Wednesday included Ice Cube, Heather Graham and musical guest Kelsea Ballerini.

· Daly's guests Wednesday night included Holly Holm, Ryan Duffy and musical guest Handsome Ghost (encore).


· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.2/8; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5.


· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.


· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
