Lin-Manuel Miranda returned to the room where it happened to attend a special Tuesday matinee performance of the 11-time Tony Award winning musical Hamilton. Tickets to the extra performance, which sold between $2,700 for general admission tickets to $100,000 for premium seats, benefited Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. The event reportedly brought in over $3.5 million.
Following the performance, Miranda joined Clinton on stage and introduced her as the "45th President of the United States." He went on to ask, "This November, the differences could not be more stark ... Are you going to vote for the guy who wants to build a wall or for someone who is building bridges?" He continued, "Are you going to vote for the guy who is channeling your fears, who is acting towards yours fears, or acting towards yours hopes?" In the spirit of the hip-hop musical, Clinton urged the crowd of supporters to "not throw away our shot" during the 2016 election, a reference to one of the musical anthems heard throughout the show.Watch a portion of Miranda's speech below:
Later, Miranda shared a photo of himself with the presumptive Democratic nominee and his father, Luis A. Miranda, and referenced a favorite line from the musical's "The Schuyler Sisters" number:

Of note, yesterday marked the third time Hillary Clinton attended HAMILTON. While she watched Javier Muñoz play the lead role in Tuesday's performance, she previously saw Miranda in the musical earlier this month and also attended an off-Broadway performance in 2015.
