Hilary Duff Signs Development Deal With 20th Century Fox TV

Deadline.com reports that Hilary Duff has signed a TV deal with 20th Century Fox TV. The actress tweeted the news posting, "Ok it's official! Very excited about my development deal with 20th Century Fox!! t.v. here I come! :)" 

Under the agreement, the 'Lizzie McGuire' star will be involved in the development of a half-hour comedy series of which she will star in and produce.  In addition, the studio has the option to cast Duff in another comedy or drama project if the one she is involved in does not come to fruition. 

Duff is best known for the title role of Disney Channel's teen comedy Lizzie McGuire. The actress reprised the role in The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003) and ventured into motion pictures with her early films Agent Cody Banks (2003), Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), A Cinderella Story (2004) and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005). Most recently, she has performed in independent films and television dramas like Gossip Girl in addition to sharing production credits.
