Deadline reports that Christopher Jackson, currently starring as Founding Father George Washington in Broadway's hit musical Hamilton, has joined the cast of CBS's upcoming drama pilot BULL, from Amblin TV and CBS TV Studios.

Phil McGraw and Paul Attanasio penned the project which is based on the early career of popular daytime talk show host Dr. Phil. The show follows "Dr. Jason Bull, who runs Trial Sciences Inc., a company that analyzes juries to help develop defense strategies"

Jackson will take on the role of Chunk, described as a stylist on the team who helps prepare defendants for trial, and a former All-American lineman.

Jackson's other Broadway credits include HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, BRONX BOMBERS, AFTER MIDNIGHT, IN THE HEIGHTS, MEMPHIS and THE LION KING. Off-Broadway credits include Hamilton, Bronx Bombers, The Jammer, Lonely I'm Not and In the Heights.

His film and television credits include Tracers, Afterlife, "Freestyle Love Supreme," "White Collar," "Oz," "Person of Interest," "Gossip Girl." He is also an Emmy-winning composer for "Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company." His solo album,'In the Name of Love' is currently available on iTunes.
