Disney Channel is TV's #1 Network in Total Day for 33rd-Consecutive Month

During January 2014, Disney Channel, the 24-hour kid-driven, family-inclusive television network, ranked as TV's #1 network for the 33rd-consecutive month in Kids 6-11 (618,000/2.6 rating) and for the 45th-straight month in Tweens 9-14 (576,000/2.4 rating), powered by the premiere of original movie "Cloud 9," all-new episodes of hit series - most notably "Jessie" and "Austin & Ally" - the launch of "I Didn't Do It" and a first-look at upcoming game show "Win, Lose or Draw."

Competitively, Disney Channel out-delivered Nickelodeon by robust double digits for the 31st-consecutive month in both Kids 6-11 (+26% - 618,000 vs. 491,000) and Tweens 9-14 (+80% - 576,000 vs. 320,000).

In Prime, Disney Channel extended its streak as TV's #1 network to 107 consecutive months in Kids 6-11 (902,000/3.8 rating) and to 103-straight months in Tweens 9-14 (822,000/3.4 rating).

The premiere of Disney Channel original movie "Cloud 9" (1/17/14, 8:00 - 9:40 p.m.) stood as the month's #1 cable TV telecast in Kids 2-11 (2.6 million/6.7 rating), Kids 6-11 (2.1 million/8.7 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.8 million/7.3 rating).


24-Hour Disney Junior channel

24-hour Disney Junior channel soared to its biggest month on record across all target demos, ranking as the #1 Total Day preschool-dedicated TV network for the 10th-consecutive month in Total Viewers (510,000), Kids 2-5 (247,000/1.6 rating) and Boys 2-5 (126,000/1.6 rating) - each month since reporting public ratings on April 1, 2013 - for the 7th month in a row in Girls 2-5 (121,000/1.6 rating) and for the 8th-straight month in Women 18-49 (100,000). Notably, this marked the channel's 4th-consecutive month growing its Total Viewer audience and 3rd-straight month in Boys 2-5.

Among midsize cable TV networks, led by newcomer "Sheriff Callie's Wild West" along with "Sofia the First" and "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," Disney Junior aired the Top 3 series in Total Viewers and across all preschooler demos (Kids 2-5 below), and Top 4 in Women 18-49:

Disney Junior Channel defeated Nick Jr. by double digits across all core demos: +50% in Total Viewers (510,000 vs. 339,000), +55% in Kids 2-5 (247,000 vs. 159,000), +51% in Girls 2-5 (121,000 vs. 80,000), +59% in Boys 2-5 (126,000 vs. 79,000) and +54% in Women 18-49 (100,000 vs. 65,000), despite being in 12.5 million fewer homes.

Disney Junior Channel more than tripled Sprout among Total Viewers (+217% - 510,000 vs. 161,000), Kids 2-5 (+238% - 247,000 vs. 73,000), Girls 2-5 (+210% - 121,000 vs. 39,000) and Boys 2-5 (+271% - 126,000 vs. 34,000), and nearly tripled in Women 18-49 (+178% - 100,000 vs. 36,000).
