According to MovieHole.net, Pitch Perfect's Anna Kendrick is set to star as 'Cathy' in Richard LaGravenese's film adaptation of the musical The Last Five Years.

Based on Jason Robert Brown's musical, "Last Five Years" follows the course of a couple's relationship—the woman (Cathy) starting and the end and working her way in back through time, and the man (Jamie) launching from the beginning and moving through the story in chronological order. The pair meets in the middle for a wedding song but otherwise remains separate in their telling of the tale. Cathy's tunes include "Still Hurting", "See I'm Smiling", and "I Can Do Better Than That".

Kendrick recently starred in Pitch Perfect—another film showing her vocal prowess—and is known for her role as 'Jessica' in The Twilight Saga films, as well as her performance alongside George Clooney in Up in the Air, for which she was nominated for an Oscar.

The Exchange will shop "Last Five Years" in Santa Monica this month.
