ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA Is No. 1 for 2016 February Sweep in Total Viewers

ABC News' "Good Morning America" won the 2016 February sweep in Total Viewers (5.075 million), based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" beat NBC's "Today" (4.904 million) by +171,000, representing its 4th-consecutive February win and 15th-straight sweep victory overall in Total Viewers.

"GMA" improved on the previous sweep (November 2015) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (5.075 million vs. 5.062 million), Adults 25-54 (+5% - 1.741 million vs. 1.691 million) and Adults 18-49 (+12% - 1.293 million vs. 1.153 million).

"GMA" led "CBS This Morning" during the 2016 February sweep in Total Viewers (+29%/+1.151 million), Adults 25-54 (+52%/+443,000) and Adults 18-49 (+51%/+596,000).

Week of February 29, 2019

"Good Morning America" ranked as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (5.244 million) for the week of February 29, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" outdelivered NBC's "Today" (4.933 million), substantially increasing its advantage over the previous week (+70% - 131,000 vs. 183,000) to its largest margin of victory in 2 months - since w/o 12/28/15.

For the 2nd week in a row, "GMA" built on the previous week (5.058 million, 1.719 million and 1.257 million, for w/o 2/22/16) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+4%), Adults 25-54 (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%). Hitting a new season high in Total Viewers, "GMA" drew its largest overall audience in 10 months - since w/o 4/27/15. In addition, "GMA" grew the most week to week in all measures compared to "CBS This Morning" (-2%/-1%/+1%, respectively) and "Today" (+1%/flat/-3%, respectively).

On Monday (2/29/16), "GMA's" post-Oscar telecast delivered the ABC program's strongest numbers of the season in Total Viewers (5.603 million), Adults 25-54 (2.023 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.483 million). In fact, the Monday airing was "GMA"'s top telecast in 9 months in Total Viewers, in nearly 10 months in Adults 25-54 and in 10 months in Adults 18-49 - since 5/20/15, 5/1/15 and 4/17/15, respectively.

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating "Today" by 268,000 (4.998 million vs. 4.730 million), taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th-consecutive year and leading in all 24 weeks of the season.

During the week, "GMA" led "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+38%/+1.452 million), Adults 25-54 (+61%/+689,000) and Adults 18-49 (+62%/+512,000).
