Tickets for LA Opera's 2014/15 six mainstage productions, plus two eagerly anticipated Off Grand special events, will go on sale to the general public this Sunday, June 22, at 10:00am. Tickets may be purchased online atwww.LAOpera.org, by phone at 213.972.8001 or in person, from10am to 6pm, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, 135 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90012.

With tickets starting as low as $18, both seasoned opera lovers and those new to the art form will find the right price for their budgets. Additionally, full and mini-season ticket holders receive discounted prices on their season packages.

LA Opera kicks off the season on September 13, 2014, with Plácido Domingo, LA Opera's Eli and Edythe Broad General Director, singing the role of Giorgio Germont in Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata(pictured above; Sept. 13-28, 2014). James Conlon, LA Opera's Richard Seaver Music Director, will conduct La Traviata as well as the three "Figaro Trilogy" operas: John Corigliano's The Ghosts of Versailles (Feb. 7-Mar. 1, 2015), Gioachino Rossini's The Barber of Seville (Feb. 28-Mar. 22, 2015) and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart'sThe Marriage of Figaro (Mar. 21-Apr. 12, 2015).

The mainstage season will also include a double bill of of one-act operas by Henry Purcell and Bela Bartók, Dido and Aeneas andBluebeard's Castle (Oct. 25-Nov. 15, 2014), and Daniel Catán'sFlorencia en el Amazonas conducted by Resident ConductorGrant Gershon (Nov. 22-Dec. 20, 2014) as well as a recital by soprano Sondra Radvanovsky (Nov. 8, 2014).

LA Opera Off Grand tickets also on sale
Tickets for two strikingly innovative LA Opera Off Grand productions will go on sale as well. The film/opera mash-up Hercules vs Vampires (Apr. 23-26, 2015) pairs a 1961 sword-and-sandals movie by Mario Bava with a new operatic score by L.A.-based composer Patrick Morganelli, performed live by a cast of singers, drawn from LA Opera's Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program, and accompanied by a 26-piece orchestra. LA Opera will also collaborate with REDCAT to present Dog Days (June 11-15, 2015; tour produced by Beth Morrison Projects), a new opera by composer David T. Little and librettist Royce Vavrek based on the short story by Judy Budnitz.

Dog Days will be presented at REDCAT at the Walt Disney Concert Hall complex, 631 West 2nd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. All other performances will take place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, 135 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90012. Tickets begin at $18.
