(Wilmington, DE-Oct 25) OperaDelaware continues its 69th season with three exciting and unique offerings at the company's studio at 4 S. Poplar St. on the Christina riverfront.

On Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 10 at 2 p.m., OperaDelaware presents "Opera Undressed - Primarily Puccini" in the second of its Inside the Opera Studio series. The performance features sopranosChristina Lamberti and Kelly Curtin, tenor Gary Seydell, and baritone Grant Youngblood. OD's music director Jeffrey Miller will serve as accompanist and commentator. Fun and informal in an intimate setting, this studio series provides a relaxing venue in which newcomers to opera and seasoned veterans alike can sit back, enjoy a glass of wine and have the rare experience of these beautiful, unamplified, unfiltered voices in an up close and personal way.

In this series, four opera stars will delight audiences as they have throughout North America, Europe, and the Far East. University of Delaware graduate Curtin stops in Wilmington following a stint as a resident artist with the Shreveport Opera. Wilmington native and UD alumnus Seydell, whose voice has been described as "captivating" by critics, will be here as well. Lamberti, a native of New Jersey whose voice has been lauded for its power, drama, and vivid tone, and Youngblood, whose most recent engagements include an appearance at the Metropolitan Opera, round out the cast.

"OperaDelaware's Studio property - and the amazing world-class artists who grace it -- may be one of the best kept secrets in Wilmington. In addition to our black-box theater which is home to City Theater and Bootless Stage Works, we have transformed our rehearsal hall into a gorgeous and wonderful venue for live operatic music." says General Director Brendan Cooke. "And our building is easy to reach. Parking is free at the studio and the building offers convenient access to all our guests."

In addition, Delaware teens will show their vocal and classical music talent as OperaDelaware's Teen Opera Lab presents Poe: A Dream within a Dream. Poe is a one-act opera for young voices based on Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher. The one-hour production runs November 23 at 7:00 p.m. and November 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the OperaDelaware studio.

Just in time for the holidays, OperaDelaware presents Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck. This charming, lively and family-friendly opera suitable for children of all ages (?), performed in English and presented by a cast from Baltimore's prestigious Peabody Conservatory, will be held at the OperaDelaware studio, on Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. It is based on the popular Brothers Grimm fairy tale and features beloved characters and delightful folk music-inspired melodies such as "Evening Benediction".
