MISSING tells a story everyone knows, about a woman no one remembers

NOVEMBER 2017

1 Missing, families-only premiere, 7:30 - 10:30pm, DTES

NB: this is a private, invitational event, co-produced by Vancouver Moving Theatre / The Downtown Eastside Heart of the City Festival. It will be led by elders, and assisted by grief counselors. Cedar brushing and smudging will be available. A Book of Remembrance will be present, and signed by all who wish. This book will thereafter travel with the opera, and its names added to by others.

MISSING is a co-production of City Opera Vancouver and Pacific Opera Victoria.

Its public text workshops were held at the Native Education College and DTES Carnegie Centre in August 2016. Its public piano-vocal workshops will be held at the Baumann Centre for Opera in Victoria, and the Native Education College and DTES Carnegie Centre in Vancouver, in February 2017.
