In advance of this Friday's release of William Elliott Whitmore & Esmé Patterson's Play Each Other's Songs 7" single, The A.V. Club is now streaming Whitmore's gothic country cover of Patterson's "Elysium." It'll send a chill right through your bones. The song is on the A-side, while Paterson's cover of Whitmore's "Not Feeling Any Pain" is on the B-side.

Whitmore said of the pairing: "Esmé and I became buddies while on tour last year. The idea for this 7-inch grew out of that, out of respect for each other and each other's music. I chose her song 'Elysium' for this project because I loved the lyrical Imagery and melody. I tried my best to do it justice."

Pre-order the 7" single here. It is a limited-edition pressing of 1000 and will include a digital download. The single will also be available through digital service providers on Friday, November 18.
