Swedish-Belgian avant-gritty-pop duo Victoria+Jean recently dropped a remix of their song "Takes You Like A Rose," taken from their new album, Divine Love, which comes out April 29. Divine Love comes as a full-length sequel to their four track V+J EP, which came out last December.

Divine Love promises to be "out of this world," as proven by this hypnotically sensual remix. Victoria's smoky voice blends seamlessly with an entrancing electronic sound that is reminiscent of Depeche Mode with a hint of Bjork. The enigmatic vibe of the track is suggestive of smoke and mirrors, ecstasy and pleasure, the unknown and curiosity. The carnal aura of the vocals and the satisfying bass create a compelling experience for the listener that leaves them craving more of the duo's musical brilliance.

Victoria and Jean began working as a duo somewhere along Victoria's journey as a world traveler - the two met in Brussels, after Victoria had hit London and Paris by way of her native Stockholm, and instantly bonded through music. Although Victoria sings and Jean plays guitar, like so many other musical duos, their music defies definition and crafts a highly mesmerizing sound that showcases the musical compatibility between the two pop queens.

The album sleeve mentions some of today's greatest sound engineers, like John Parish (P J Harvey), Ian Caple (Tricky, Tindersticks, Bashung), Christoffer Berg (Depeche Mode, The Knife, Fever Ray) and Rob Kirwan (U2, Depeche Mode, The Horrors), as well as the "high priestess of mastering," Mandy Parnell. Their handiwork shines on the album's tracks as the artwork of Russian ontemporary artist Oleg Dou adorns the cover.

Check out their newest remix, and don't miss their album Divine Love, out April 29.
