British singing sensation Sam Smith has shared his cover of the late Whitney Houston's pop classic "How Will I Know". Below, check out his stirring rendition of the hit dance tune!

Smith performed the cover on radio program SiriusXM Hits 1, which posted the video over the weekend. Since that time, the video has become a Facebook trending topic, nearing 1 million YouTube views as of this morning.

Tweeted Smith over the video's success: "Woah. My Whitney cover has had 817,055 views in 3 days!! Jeeeeheeeeezus"

The British singer-songwriter rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch", which peaked at number eleven on the UK chart. His subsequent feature-on Naughty Boy's "La La La"-earned him his first number-one single on the chart in May 2013.

In December 2013, Smith was nominated for the 2014 BRIT Critics' Choice Award and the BBC's Sound of 2014 poll, both of which he went on to win. He released his debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, in May 2014 via Capitol Records. The lead single, "Lay Me Down", was released prior to "La La La". The second single, "Money on My Mind", was released this February.
