Well-known for their close, four-part harmonies and charismatic performances, Waterloo Region's premiere community singing group is getting ready to wow the city of Cambridge. Early next month Dunfield Theatre Cambridge will host Twin CityHarmonizers: In Concert. Customary of the Twin City Harmonizers, the performance on Saturday, September 7th is a fundraiser, with proceeds to the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge Capital Campaign.

The Twin City Harmonizers are a group of approximately fifty male singers ranging in age from early 20s to mid 80s who all share a passion for a capella performance. They are regularly featured in concert around Kitchener-Waterloo and have travelled to perform at other locations including Hamilton Place and Toronto's Massey Hall.

As if the charm of fifty men singing their hearts out isn't enough, wit won't be in short supply with Neil Aitchison as Master of Ceremonies for this exclusive event. Theatregoers will recognize Aitchison from his hysterical role as Archibald F. Inkster in Sorry...I'm Canadian, which completed an acclaimed run at Dunfield Theatre Cambridge earlier this summer. Aitchison's signature sense of humour is certain to amuse the audience in this fun-filled event.

Joining the Twin City Harmonizers is the Grand Harmony Chorus, the local branch of the Sweet Adelines International. Grand Harmony Chorus is the female equivalent of the Twin City Harmonizers - women of all ages who love to sing close four-part harmonies in the classic barbershop style with plenty of flair and some sparkles, just for fun.

"This event is a great opportunity for audiences to both discover classic music of a bygone era as well as reminisce over the lasting impact music makes in our lives," says Alex Mustakas, Artistic Director of Drayton Entertainment. "Twin City Harmonizers: In Concert promises to be a highly entertaining evening and we look forward to welcoming old friends and introducing new patrons to the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge."

This special event is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are only $17.50 plus HST and can be purchased online at www.dunfieldtheatrecambridge.com, in person at the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge Box Office, or by calling (519) 621-8000 or toll free 1-855-DRAYTON (372-9866).
