The top ten charted virtuoso contemporary jazz duo Tuck & Patti will perform on June 8 at the historic Suffolk Theater in Riverhead, NY. Their performance will be part of a weekend that includes soul legend Ben E. King on June 7 (Stand By Me and Rose in Spanish Harlem) and an evening with the 18-piece big band, The New Millennium Orchestra, presenting a tribute to Tony Bennett on June 5.

Tuck & Patti are comprised of Tuck Andress - one of jazz's most accomplished solo guitarists - and his wife Patti Cathcart Andress, a singer of extraordinary soul and depth. The duo gained acclaim in the 80s with their back-to-back 1988 and 1989 top ten Contemporary Jazz Albums, Tears of Joy and Love Warriors, which included re-imagined interpretations of songs that bridged songs of varying musical genres such as Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time and Jimi Hendrix's Castles Made of Sand and Little Wing.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the duo is "quite simply, one of the most remarkable pairings in pop and jazz history--as musically intuitive as Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Henderson, as rhythmically intertwined as Astaire and Rogers." Tuck & Patti's music represents an evolution of the guitarist and singer duos of eras past such as Joe Pass and Ella Fitzgerald. Andress remains one of jazz's most accomplished guitarists, able to create full complex orchestrations with bass lines, percussion parts, chord melodies and more -- on just a single guitar. His style is emulated by guitarists throughout the world. Patti Cathcart Andress's voice remains one of the most inspired in jazz.
