Time Inc.'s (NYSE:TIME) ESSENCE, the preeminent brand for African-American women, kicks off GRAMMY weekend with its highly anticipated 7th annual Black Women in Music event to be held on February 11 in Los Angeles.

This year, the invitation-only soiree will celebrate 2016 GRAMMY-nominated Black women in music with special performances by vocal powerhouses Andra Day and Jazmine Sullivan, with Adam Blackstone and the BBE All-Star Band. Music will be provided by DJ Rashida.

"ESSENCE wants to celebrate all of the 2016 GRAMMY-nominated Black female artists with a night of mind-blowing performances featuring the soulful sounds of vocal divas Andra and Jazmine," said Vanessa De Luca, ESSENCE Editor-in-Chief. This is definitely evident in music, as the artistry of this year's roster of nominees-from rap, R&B, rock, gospel and more-continues to have an impact on our lives. Congratulations to all of these ladies for this year's amazing achievements."
