The Wooden Sky have announced their highly anticipated fourth album Lets Be Ready, out 6/16 via Nevado Music. This release marks the start of new beginnings, as the tireless roots rockers conceived the album amidst a time of many changes while they parted ways with one of the groups founding members. In order to give each song a unique perspective and to encapsulate their raw live energy, the band, alongside producer Chris Stringer (Timbre Timbre, Ohbijou) decided to record the album across various studios throughout Toronto.

The album opens with the upbeat track "Saturday Night", which combines shimmering guitar melodies over heart heavy lyrics. "Baby Hold On" offers up the bands stylistic dexterity as it shifts from folk to country and back again, while singer Gavin Gardiner's soulful draw is supported by the bands gospel-like backing harmonies. "Shake For Me" starts off slowly and continues to build as it finally peaks with the last minute swirling into a wash of guitars and drums. The first single "Maybe It's No Secret" showcases the band's raw live energy while lyrically dealing with the hardships and nomadic lifestyle of being in a touring band.

The Wooden Sky draw on both thoughts of the past as well as what lies ahead as Lets Be Ready marks a step forward for the band.
