The Bacon Brothers Kicks Off Patchogue Theatre's 2015-16 Season Tonight

Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) is proud to announce the return of musical duo, The Bacon Brothers, featuring Golden Globe Award-winning actor Kevin Bacon and his brother, Emmy Award-winning composer, Michael Bacon, to open Patchogue Theatre's 2015-16 season tonight, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m.

This will be The Bacon Brothers' second time on stage at PTPA. Patchogue Theatre also presents 16 shows as part of its diverse Fall 2015 lineup. Since their first performance together at a benefit concert in 1994, the Philadelphia-bred brothers, Kevin and Michael Bacon, have been performing as The Bacon Brothers for over 20 years. The band has gigged relentlessly to build up a following and have released seven albums and a live concert DVD. This includes their 2011 European compilation release, "Philadelphia Road: The Best of The Bacon Brothers" (Hypertension), which is available nationwide on music label, Soulfood. The New Yorker acclaims, "Hollywood hangs like an albatross around the neck of any movie star turned musician, but this duo shakes off the burden of fame with sharply executed rock that has a blue-collar, rootsy edge."

And Rolling Stone declares, "Kevin and his brother Michael can actually write and play some intelligent and cathartic songs. Really!"

The Bacon Brothers Band includes Kevin Bacon on vocals, guitar and percussion; Michael Bacon on vocals, guitar and cello; Paul Guzzone on bass guitar and backing vocals; Joe Mennonna on keyboards and accordion; Frank Vilardi on drums; and Ira Siegel on lead guitar, mandolin and backing vocals.

The Bacon Brothers released their latest album, "36 cents," in September 2014. The band continues to win believers - show by show, album by album.
