Saxophonist Laura Venditti to Play in Concert at Spectrum NYC

Saxophonist Laura Venditti will be in concert on Sunday, July 16 at 7:00 PM, presenting When the Saxophone Meets Electronic Music at Spectrum NYC, 70 Flushing Ave. in Brooklyn, NY. This will be presented by Jeffrey James Arts Consulting in cooperation with Spectrum NYC.

This concert was born from Laura Venditti's interest in the combination of electronic music and live instruments, where natural and synthetic sounds blend together to create interesting atmospheres. Repertoire will be Jacob Ter Veldhuis' The Garden of love, for soprano saxophone and electronics, Raffaele Riccardi's Jabberwocky, for saxophones and electronics, Ryo Noda's Improvisation I, for solo saxophone, Judith Shatin's Penelope's song, for soprano saxophone and electronics, Ryo Noda's Improvisation III for solo saxophone, Raffaele Riccardi's Counterpoint for Laura, for saxophones and electronics and Wayne Siegel's Jackdaw, for baritone saxophone and electronics.

Laura Venditti graduated in December 2009 from the State Music Conservatory "Ottorino Respighi" of Latina, Italy, with honors in music and saxophone studies under the guidance of master teachers Daniel Caporaso and Cristiano Carrano.

She has performed both as a soloist and in chamber groups, taking part in various festivals and events such as The Spring Concerts Festival, Sound Forms at the O. Respighi of Latina; Distanze Festival at the University Tor Vergata-Roma; Conservatorio Santa Cecilia for Hundred Cage; Review Lievito Mad-Latina, Kokeshi Rebel Fest, the Regional Park Appia Anticachectic Rome, Christmas in the Park 2014 and 2015, organized by the Ausoni Regional Natural Park and Lake Funds, Maenza Acustica Review and Review Campagna Amica.
