Tonight, May 22, 2014, Ephrata Performing Arts Center is proud to present the Dave Stahl Big Band, featuring six former members of Maynard's Big Bop Nouveau Band, for a Maynard Ferguson Birthday Reunion Celebration! This special event will feature guest artists Reggie Watkins on the trombone, Jeff Lashway on piano, Rick Matt and Mike Dubaniewicz on saxophone, and Paul Stephens and Mike Jarosz on trumpet.

These special guest artists bring a wealth of rare talent and experience to EPAC's Sharadin Bigler Theatre. Watkins was featured on Ferguson's 2001 release Swingin For Schuur while Lashway played on Ferguson's final album The One and Only. Saxophonist Rick Matt played with legendary singer Tony Bennett, and Mike Dubaniewicz was featured on three of Ferguson's albums. Finally, joining Dave Stahl on trumpet are Paul Stephens, who played for Barry Manilow as well as for the Temptations; and Mike Jarosz, who played for pop diva Celine Dion.

A dessert and coffee reception will be offered at intermission, and an open forum will be held with the special guests at 3:30 pm. Admission to the afternoon panel discussion will be $5 at the door and is a wonderful opportunity to chat with some of these original members of Maynard's Big Bop Nouveau Band. Tickets to this amazing concert are only $15 and can be purchased online by visiting www.ephrataperformingartscenter.com or through the EPAC box office at 733-7966.
