(Le) Poisson Rouge's Three-Year Anniversary Celebration June 12 - 18

LPR wins ASCAP's Victor Herbert Award for excellence in programming!

Greenwich Village Society for Historical Preservation presents LPR with the 2011 Village Award!

LPR announces partnership with ConcertWindow.com for live streaming performances!

That's a lot. But it all seems perfectly timed as LPR prepares to celebrate three years of breathing life back into the former Village Gate. In celebration LPR will be hosting a week of performances that captures the diverse programming that has become the hallmark of LPR. It seems a good time to present that kind of programming, as well, following the announcement that LPR has won the 2011 Victor Herbert Award from ASCAP for a "courageous and visionary...commitment to creating an environment which invites audiences to share and enjoy adventurous programming of the full spectrum of music of our time." [ Read their full press release here.] You are also among the very first to find out that LPR was just awarded the 2011 Village Award from the Greenwich Village Society for Historical Preservation for their contribution to culture and life in the neighborhood and beyond. LPR is honored to be acknowledged by both organizations for diverse programming and a commitment to building a community for artists and audiences in New York City.

In an effort to showcase all the great programming that happens all year at LPR the team has put together a fantastic week that will span classical, jazz, metal, indie-rock, comedy, and everything in-between and beyond. Acts that week include Best Coast, Earth, Bardo Pond, White Out w/ Thurston Moore, Laetitia Sadier of Stereolab, Ensemble ACJW performing music of Radiohead, Bartok and more, MacArthur "Genius" and jazz legend Cecil Taylor, Elysian Fields, Christina Courtin and Brooklyn Rider, the monthly kids event "Baby Got Bach," Tea Leaf Green, Metal Mountains, Erika Spring of Au Revoir Simone, Arturo en el Barco and more.

In addition to all of this LPR is thrilled to announce our new partnership with Concert Window. LPR and Concert Window have teamed up and will be streaming a vast majority of the performances for the anniversary week celebration (full line-up announcement coming soon). This isn't going to be your standard streaming situation, all shows are going to be HD quality, multi-cam shoots, with audio straight from LPR state-of-the-art sound board.

You might have even noticed that LPR has already been streaming shows regularly for a few weeks and will continue to present new concerts live online every week, for free. Upcoming streaming include tonight's JD Allen Trio CD Release show, tonight's Todd Sickafoose's Tiny Resistors show (with Andrew Bird on violin), Inbal Segev's cello recital on June 1st and many more. Announcements for live streams will be made through LPR's social media network including Twitter, Facebook, and the LPR blog.

Please join us June 12-18th to celebrate three years of LPR!
