K Michelle's meteoric rise couldn't have played out more perfectly, had it been scripted for television. After having defied the odds in both music and in life, this classically trained pianist/songwriter turned reality star can now add #1 charting artist to her growing list of credits. "Rebellious Soul," K Michelle's highly anticipated debut album, enters the arena at an impressive #1 on the Urban Charts and #2 on the Billboard 200, selling 75,000 copies its first week. The album's hit single, "Very Special (V.S.O.P.)" www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5y9Q5CmWYg continues to rock the airwaves all over the country, while K Michelle continues to sell out venues in every city she visits. The album, currently available on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/rebellious-soul/id672546723 has garnered some of the highest compliments music's critics have to offer. Vibe Magazine generously calls it "The modern woman's manifesto" and fans have canonized K Michelle their patron saint of unabashed honesty and raw truth. Of his artist, famed music manager Jeff Robinson has this to say: "Counted out, written off and dismissed! Yet, our focus never wavered. We put our hands to the plow and never looked back. I'm very proud of K Michelle! Welcome to the NEW reality!"

After winning over the hearts of millions as a cast member on the VH1 hit show "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta," it was her transparency that kept viewers tuning in every week, to see what K Michelle was going to do next. In the last season, we all got to witness this frustrated genius transform, as she walked away from past pains and forged ahead with her career. And while she may have left Atlanta, series fans can fret not, as K Michelle joins the New York cast this upcoming season. "Love and Hip Hop will always be special to me because it creates a platform for me to connect with my fans, for them to see me in every stage of my journey. Joining the New York cast is exciting, but I don't plan to get into the drama. This season will follow me as I transition into in New York and continue to work on my music career. You'll meet my real friends and get a real look into my life."

The "Rebel Against" campaign, born out of K Michelle's need to encourage fans to face and speak out against those social and personal hurdles, continues to be near to her heart. Having now grown nationally, the campaign pairs K Michelle with youth and woman's organization "Saving Our Daughters." The impact has been undeniable and will remain deeply engrained in her personal and professional platforms. Further information can be found at: http://myrebellioussoul.tumblr.com. Of the success of "Rebellious Soul," the singer had this to say: "Many people counted me out. I thank those who believed in me. My music is my life. You don't have to like me but you will respect my music." There is no question K Michelle is a musical force to be reckoned with.
