Award-winning kids' musicians Joanie Leeds & The Nightlights will rock out for families with a fun-filled, all-ages concert at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 at Shames JCC on the Hudson, 371 South Broadway, Tarrytown, NY. This free show is part of Family Fun Day, which marks the official unveiling of the new and improved Shames JCC on the Hudson. All are welcome!
Joanie Leeds & The Nightlights' performance will be a high energy, interactive experience from start to finish, showcasing such fan favorites as "Meshugana," the crazy "Freeze Dance," "I Wanna Be Green," and "Joanie's Top 10 Rock and Roll Songs," which features choruses parents will recognize from classic rock songs like "Satisfaction," "Paradise City, and "Hey Jude." Joanie and the band will also play an array of genre-hopping tunes from their new album, Brooklyn Baby!, which is set for release on May 19. Joanie Leeds says, "I've never been one to stay stuck in any one particular musical style because I know kids love 'em all -- rock, pop, funk, soul, ska, go-go, gospel, country -- and frankly, so do I! Our band is super-excited to be part of Shames JCC on the Hudson's Family Fun Day. It's gonna be an awesome party!"Prior to Brooklyn Baby!, Joanie Leeds released seven critically acclaimed, full-length albums and two full-length DVDs, in addition to numerous videos on her YouTube channel. She is currently at work on more music videos, while maintaining a busy teaching and performance schedule.
