The Scottish producer and DJ Ross Birchard, better known by his stage name Hudson Mohawke, has achieved super producer status since the release of his legendary 2005 mixtape "Hudson's Heeters". Since then, he's released two solo albums to critical acclaim (2009's "Butter" and the recently released "Lantern"), been signed to Kanye West's GOOD Music label, and worked with a who's who list of hip hop and R&B artists, including Drake, Lil Wayne, R. Kelly, Big|Brave Sean, Pusha T, Pharrell, Mark Ronson, and John Legend, to name a few. His new album "Lantern" is a contemporary fusion of avant-garde intention and urban pop intuition. A fusion of soaring orchestration and widespread club dynamics, Hudson Mohawke is looking towards the future while still embracing an evolving, timeless canon of pop and soul music.
