Husband and wife team Herb Alpert and Lani Hall are bringing their "In the Mood" national fall tour to the Gallo Center for the Arts on Sunday, November 9, for a 3:30 pm matinee performance.

Tickets for the concert range in price from $19 to $69, and may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto. Groups of 15 or more people received a 15% discount on ticket prices. Group sales information is available by calling (209) 338-5062.

The couple will perform songs from their recently released new album "In the Mood," in addition to songs from last year's Grammy-winning album "Steppin' Out." The program will include a jazz set sprinkled with Brazilian flavors, American Songbook favorites such as "Puttin' on the Ritz," "Let's Face the Music and Dance" and "Fever," and a medley of songs from his famed platinum-selling band, Tijuana Brass.

Apart from Tijuana Brass, which at one point during the 1960s outsold the Beatles, Alpert also earned famed as a songwriter, record producer, visual artist and co-founder of one of the most successful independent record labels in music history, A&M Records. He has won nine Grammy Awards. Hall was the lead singer for Sergio Mendes's internationally celebrated group, Brasil '66, and won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance for her album "Es Facil Amar" in 1986.
