The legendary Hot Tuna's not-to-be-missed annual Beacon Theatre musical bash celebrating Jorma Kaukonen's 75th birthday will emphasize Jorma's music over the years. Hot Tuna will deliver two nights of music filled with unfiltered innovation plus numerous musicians and friends to commemorate the occasion.

Tuna fans will remember the electricity in the air with previous birthday celebrations for Jack in 2014 and Jorma in 2010. This year promises to be just as memorable.

Friday November 20 - Fans will have an opportunity to experience the best of both Hot Tuna worlds - Acoustic Hot Tuna to open the show and a blazing Electric Hot Tuna set to close the night. Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, the raw core, will get the party started performing fan treasures and honing their chops for their soon to be recorded acoustic album. Special guest John Hammond will join them on harmonica. Then drummer Justin Guip will turn up the volume for anElectric Hot Tuna Trio experience to finish the first set.

The second half of Friday night will be Tuna evolved, a full Electric Hot Tuna set with drummer Justin Guip and "the first couple of Americana," (Mojo) multi-instrumentalist, Larry Campbell and vocalist, Teresa Williams.

Saturday, November 21 - It's Rock and Roll with Electric Hot Tuna. Jorma & Jack, with Justin Guip, Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams, and a myriad of surprise guests who will perform songs and styles celebrating Jorma's 75 years, from thecurrent day back to Jefferson Airplane's music.

"The renaissance man," Justin Guip is one of the most flexible, chameleon-like drummers I have ever worked with," says Jorma. Justin can switch from style to style with authority. He's got the chops, the groove and most importantly the heart to be called Hot Tuna's drummer.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and Jefferson Airplane founding members Jorma and Jack have celebrated over fifty years of playing together. With Kaukonen's inventive finger-picking guitar work and Casady's full-driving bass lines, Hot Tuna delivers soulful music bursting with creative energy.
