Dr. K's Motown Revue to Play Patchogue Theatre, 5/3

The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts has announced DR. K'S MOTOWN REVUE presented by JJK Productions, LLC on Saturday, May 3 at 8:00 PM. Paul Korman, aka Dr. K, in his visionary quest to create the ultimate Motown tribute band has put together an array of seasoned musicians and singers to form the Dr. K's Motown Revue Band (DKMRB), a professional self contained 11 piece Motown tribute band. Taking you through the Motown experience of the 60s, they perform hits by the Supremes, Temptations, Martha and the Vandellas and many other Motown artists including a special segment each performance devoted to Diana Ross hits as well as the memorable duets of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. The band includes seven musicians (rhythm, wind, keyboard and percussion sections) and four lead vocalists sporting snazzy coordinated costumes and performing snappy dance routines. The Dr. K's Motown Revue Band plays various venues and repeat performances including BB Kings Blues Club, Mohegan Sun's Wolf Den, and various country club and theatres throughout the tri-state area.

Paul Korman has been leading bands for over 30 years and knows what it takes to get a good sound, stage presence, and exceptional presentation from his musicians and vocalists. ABOUT THE PATCHOGUE THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS (PTPA) - The Patchogue Theatre first opened in 1923 as the largest theatre in Suffolk County. It still is, with almost 1200 seats. Saved by Village of Patchogue in 1996 and lovingly restored it to its original grandeur, this beautiful facility was in use 185 days with over 130,000 in attendance in our 2010-2011 season. PTPA is an independent not for profit organization that leases the building from The Village of Patchogue and covers all of the operating costs without any subsidies from the Village. Our leadership is a volunteer board of directors with a professional staff and we are thriving thanks to hard work by dozens of volunteers, companies, funding agencies and individuals who support what we do by contributing their time or their money.
