Imagine parents honestly being able to enjoy the music that their children enjoy. Imagine soulful and current renditions of the ABCs, 1-2-3s, and learning how to be polite. Imagine a hip young duo, teaching children through music on an animated train.

That's "Choo-Choo Soul," which arrives at the Gallo Center for the Arts on Sunday, February 10. The duo will perform two shows, at 1 pm and 4 pm. Ticketsrange in price from $10 to $20. Groups of 15 people or more receive a 15% discount. Tickets may be purchased online at GalloArts.org, by phone at (209) 338-2100, or at the ticket office, 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto.

The show features singer Genevieve Goings as a hip-hop train conductor and her partner, Constantine "DC" Abramson, a dancer and vocal percussionist dressed as a railroad engineer.

"Choo-Choo Soul" previously performed at the Gallo Center sold-out shows by the "Imagination Movers," also Disney television stars. In 2007, "Choo-Choo Soul with Genevieve!" was honored with a Parents' Choice Award for children's television.

Boyett Petroleum is the Gallo Center's 2012-2013 Premier Partner.
