Iconic bluesman Keb' Mo' sweeps into Park City in the wake of his chart-topping 12th album, BLUESAmericana. Hailed by NPR as a "modern ambassador for the blues," the Grammy Award-winner delivers his rich, soulful music to Eccles Center fans tonight, January 3. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 435-655-3114 or online at EcclesCenter.org.

As his three Grammys indicate, singer-songwriter-guitarist, Kevin Moore (a.k.a. Keb' Mo'), has mastered roots music. His most recent album BLUESAmericana -- released first via streaming, then as a disc, and last in vinyl -- is a testament to his ability to blend old-school and cutting edge.

His authentic, yet forward-leaning style is peppered with Americana in all its forms - from blues to country (yes, Keb' Mo' is based in Nashville). Rolling Stone describes his music as "somewhere between the soul of Delta Blues and the melodic feel of contemporary folk bundled in story-like framework." From subtle acoustic tunes to his wailing version of "America the Beautiful," Keb' Mo' manages to conjure up the best of traditional blues as well as contemporary originals. And his guitar playing is so dazzling that Gibson and Martin guitars both signature models in his honor.

In the two decades since is eponymous album rocked the blues world, he's collaborated with a host of artists - from Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Brown to Amy Grant and Buddy Guy. His television-related gigs have included the theme song for the sit-com, Mike & Molly (which he wrote and performed); playing Robert Johnson in the 1998 documentary "Can't You Hear The Wind Howl;" appearances on "Touched By an Angel;" and the role as ghostly bluesman Possum in John Sayles' 2007 movie, "Honeydripper." Most recently, Keb' Mo' joined the Playing For Change movement, which was created to inspire, connect and bring peace to the world through music.
