Atlantic Records has announced rising Dancehall artist Kranium as the newest member of its legendary roster. The New York-based reggae/dancehall sing-jay celebrates his major label debut with the release of single, "Nobody Has To Know (Feat. Ty Dolla $ign)." The track premieres today http://bit.ly/ListenToNHTK and will be available for purchase on May 19th.

"Nobody Has To Know (Feat. Ty Dolla $ign)" sees Kranium revising and expanding his 2013 breakthrough hit single, the original version of which catapulted the 24 year old singer to Billboard's "Next Big Sound" and "Twitter Emerging Artists" charts. Produced by Lamar "LMR Pro" Reynolds and initially released via Frequent Flyer Records, the 2014 summer anthem "Nobody Has To Know" proved a pop phenomenon with fans including Chris Brown, and Drake, who went so far as to cover the track during his 2014 headline tour. In addition, the original "Nobody Has To Know" has seen more than 5 million plays on Soundcloud, 1.8 million plays on Spotify, and more than 8 million views on its companion video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxuDYFAKB7g.

"Nobody Has To Know" has not only been a local hit but it has also been getting strong support in the UK, topping the iTunes reggae charts and being playlisted on BBC's Radio 1xtra. It's also a big hit in the home of reggae/dancehall music, Jamaica and all around the West Indies and Central America. In 2014, Kranium has performed in the UK, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Canada, Belize, and Bahamas. He will travel to farther destinations later this year including Africa, Australia & New Zealand, and Europe.

"Lifestyle," Kranium's follow-up single, proved equally successful, with its "Lifestyle (Feat. Troy Ave. (Remix)" reaching #1 on the iTunes Store's "Top Reggae Songs" chart. The track again produced by the Queens, New York-based LMR Pro is streaming now at www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXRq5gpIkp0.

Born Kemar Donaldson in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Kranium immigrated to Florida at age 12 where he was mentored by his dancehall star uncle, Screwdriver. Kemar eventually relocated to Queens, New York where he fast became a rising star in the reggae scene thriving amongst the large Caribbean population in New York City's outer boroughs.

Recently named "Favorite Breakout Celebrity" at Jamaica's influential Youth View Awards, Kranium is currently hard at work on his Atlantic Records debut with Billboard producer, Ricky Blaze out of Brooklyn. The as-yet-untitled album is due later this year.
