Jack's Mannequin lead singer and SMASH song contributor Andrew McMahon has taken to YouTube to perform one of his most well-received and popular songs written for Season Two of the NBC musical drama series, with "I Heard Your Voice In A Dream".

McMahon's emotionally propulsive and richly melodic song was penned for one of the musicals-within-the-series showcased on Season Two, HIT LIST - a RENT-esque experimental rock musical beginning downtown.

"So sing to me and I will forgive you / For taking my heart in the suitcase you packed," sings the lovelorn composer who has lost his girl - and all of his songs along with her - per the plot of HIT LIST.

"I Heard Your Voice In A Dream" was originally performed on SMASH by Jeremy Jordan and Katharine McPhee on the episode titled "The Bells & Whistles", which aired March 27.

The series finale of SMASH airs May 26 at 9 PM.
