Best known for his African twist on American pop and ethno-classical music, YouTube sensation and former soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Alex Boyé will perform live in Mesa Arts Center's Ikeda Theater tonight, October 17 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available through Mesa Arts Center's Box Office, at MesaArtsCenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500.

Embracing his rich heritage after years of successful recordings as a gospel artist, the charismatic, London born, U.S. based vocal powerhouse is having a breakthrough year as a mainstream pop artist, scoring over 51 million views for "Let It Go" and another 29 million views for "Peponi," the Africanized version of Coldplay's "Paradise" with The Piano Guys. In addition to that, Boyé recently made his debut at the world-renowned Royal Albert Hall, opening for Olivia Newton John.

Arizonans will know Boyé as the featured vocalist on the viral music video of violin sensation Lindsey Stirling, in which the two artists and the Salt Lake Pops Orchestra cover "Grenade" by Bruno Mars. Stirling has roots in the Valley, as she graduated from Mesquite High School in Gilbert.

Mesa Arts Center is located at One East Main Street in downtown Mesa.
