AJae's sound is a mix of pop, R&B, hip hop and rap. Celebrating life and promoting positive messages are very important components of her music. AJae's music motivates listeners to be strong and independent-while challenging them to come to know their true self-worth.

AJae says of her musical background, "I love music so much. It has been a part of me since my birth. My mom says that when I was a baby, she use to put on some Motown Hits and dance around the room with me to stop me from crying. As a singer, artists such as Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Toni Braxton, Jhene Aiko, Amel Larrieux, John Coltrane, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross and of course Lauryn Hill have influenced me. I grew up listening to these artists and many more. I listen to a little bit of everything!"
