Lawyer States X-MEN Director Wasn't in Hawaii During the Time of Sex Abuse Claims

Controversy has been following Bryan Singer, director of the X-Men movies, for years and he is finally hitting back. According to the Associated Press, a lawsuit was filed against him saying that he sexually abused a 17 year old in Hawaii. His lawyer stated that the Singer has credit card receipts, telephone records, and production schedules proving that he wasn't in Hawaii during the time of the accusation. (more...)

Fox Has No Intentions for a FANTASTIC FOUR/X-MEN Crossover

Last year, rumors circulated that Fox was planning on making a crossover film between X-Men and Fantastic Four. Comic writer and reigning 'overseer' of Fox's Marvel films, Mark Millar was even called in. Millar was the start of the rumors. He was quoted telling SFX Magazine, 'Without question I think you have to see some of these guys showing up in each other's movies. I think the most exciting thing in superhero movies, until The Avengers came along, was when Nick Fury showed up in Iron Man. Even though it was a guy with an eye patch it was really cool - and I expect we will see more of that.' However, Fox wants to put the rumors to rest. Film Society of Lincoln Center Announces Details for 'Fassbinder: Romantic Anarchist'

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the details for Fassbinder: Romantic Anarchist (Part 1), May 16 – June 1. Divided into two parts, the retrospective will be the most extensive presentation of Fassbinder's films in New York since 1997, with Part 1 including almost all of his work leading up to 1974 and Part 2 (screening in November) to pick up from 1974 through 1982. The ambitious two-part series will include all of his theatrical features, much of his television work, films he starred in, films that influenced him, and films that were influenced by his work. MAD Cinema Series Documents Rise of NYC's 1975-80 Punk Music Scene, Beg. Tonight

This spring, the Museum of Arts and Design presents its latest cinema series, Go Nightclubbing Archive, featuring selections from a historic video archive of the burgeoning New York punk scene from 1975 to 1980. In partnership with NYU's Fales Library, which recently acquired the archive, MAD will premiere ten individual screenings that draw from over 200 hours of remastered footage by Emily Armstrong and Pat Ivers.
