Toni Collette, Pierce Brosnan Join Cast of A LONG WAY DOWN

Variety reports that Rosamund Pike, Sam Neill, Toni Collette, Pierce Brosnan, AaRon Paul and Imogen Poots have joined the cast of the upcoming film A LONG WAY DOWN. The picture is based on the best-selling dark comedy from Nick Hornby and will mark the English language directorial debut for French filmmaker Pascal Chaumeil. The film is produced by Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey and financed by BBC Films and DCM

According to the report, A LONG WAY DOWN tells the story of "four strangers who meet on New Year's Eve on the top of a LonDon Skyscraper, who each had intended to jump off but make a pact to stay alive and help each other."

Rosamund Pike has just wrapped shooting on "Jack Reacher" opposite Tom Cruise. Her theater credits include 'Hedda Gabler' and "Hitchcock Blonde.' Sam Neill was most recently seen on the big screen in "The Vow" and appeared on the short-lived TV series 'Alcatraz' from J.J. Abrams.

Brosnan is best known for his portrayal of legendary secret agent James Bond. His other films include The Thomas Crown Affair and the film adaptation of Mamma Mia!.

Toni Collette earned a Tony Award nomination for her featured performance in the musical The Wild Party as well as an Emmy Award for Showtime's The United States of Tara.
