Director Guy Norman Bee is teaming up with writer Danny White and co-writer Stacey David to create The Last Rock and Roll Show live action feature film. A campaign just launched to help with the film's pre-production stage and to gather together people who love hot rods, classic rock and roll and music's historic vintage time period.

The Last Rock and Roll Show film will be shot in a style described as a "graphic novel brought to life". Imagine American Graffiti meets Sin City. The film is based on the novel by Danny White, a Nashville music producer and rock and roll historian.

"I've been attached to this project for over six years now and through many drafts of the script so it's really exciting to finally get this movie made!" said Bee. "We're trying to be as GRASSROOTS and 'indie' as possible. The hope is that it will be a film BY fans, FOR fans and a real love letter to Classic Rock & Roll and Hot Rods and serve as this generation's 'American Graffiti' with a modern Graphic Novel look!"

Funds being raised for The Last Rock and Roll Show film's pre-production will go towards hiring a casting director, music supervisor, special effects house and a graphic artist to bring Guys' unique vision to life. The fundraising campaign will run until September 23, 2015.

The perks available throughout THE CAMPAIGN at Indiegogo currently include:

  • Chance to show off your vehicle on Stacey David's GearZ show.
  • Hand crafted Doheny Reefmaster guitars by Master Luthier, Kevin Hefferman.
  • Custom Doheny Del Toro Guitar, uniquely designed to capture the authentic Southern California Hot Rod culture of the 1950's.
  • Your pre-1959 automobile featured in the film, part of cinematic history.
  • A private tour for you and three guests by Stacey David at the Gearz Garage.
  • A nonspeaking role in the film with special thanks credit.

ABOUT DANNY WHITE (WRITER)

Danny White has always found a common thread between his work and his passions. A musician who's worked with the likes of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Alice Cooper, Nils Lofgren and many more, White is also an avid hot rod enthusiast. So it is completely understandable that his book, The Last Rock & Roll Show, would blend elements from both worlds. White began playing music in clubs in Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky when he was just 16. After working as a touring musician for years, White eventually opened a top-shelf recording studio on Nashville's famed Music Row, 16 Ton, where many top artists now call their recording home. http://www.thelastrockandrollshow.com

ABOUT STACEY DAVID (CO-WRITER)

Stacey David is the person that every car guy wants in the garage to help on their project. With decades of working in shops, over 15 years on national television, and two hit TV shows to his credit, Stacey has been showing people how to build cool cars and trucks for a long time. His mechanical abilities and fabrication skills have made him one of the most trusted and respected custom car builders in the world today. His incredible work and positive influence have earned him many awards and accolades from the automotive industry, and his wild, trend-setting custom vehicles like Copperhead, The V8 Interceptor, and Sgt. Rock have inspired legions of gearheads all across the nation to "get out there and build something".

Also an accomplished musician, Stacey made a living for many years playing guitar professionally giving him first-hand experience with the unique connection between Cars and Guitars. Because of this, most of Stacey's custom vehicles also feature a custom guitar from companies like Gibson, Fender, PRS, and McPherson. https://www.staceydavid.com
