The identity of the mysterious unnamed Marvel flick set for a May 3, 2019 release seems to have been revealed.

According to Daily Marvelite, Marvel Studios is considering releasing AVENGERS 3 in two parts, with the first premiering in May 2018 and the second part in May 2019. It is also possible that the 2018 flick will be AVENGERS 3, and the subsequent Marvel film will be a mega-super hero film featuring the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and the Avengers.

The latter idea has previously been discussed by Marvel and hinted at by GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY cast member, Vin Diesel, "A great meeting," says Diesel about a meeting he had with Marvel Studios. "It was even talking about something so big I can't even talk about because it's like the merging of brands in a way, which I won't get into. That was something way, way, way, way, way down the road."

"Marvel's The Avengers 2" is being written and directed by Joss Whedon. Featuring favorites from the first Avengers film and new Marvel characters never before seen on the big screen, "Marvel's The Avengers 2" is slated to begin production in March 2014 and open in theaters May 1, 2015.
