According to The Hollywood Reporter, GLEE star Jane Lynch is on board to play the mother superior at an orphanage for the upcoming 'Three Stooges' film. She joins the previously reported Will Sasso as Curly, and Sean Hayes as Larry.

Currently best known for her role as comedically villainous cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on 'Glee,' Lynch has worked extensively in film, theater (most recently in LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE), and television. Her previous credits include 'Best in Show,' 'A Mighty Wind,' 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin,' 'For Your Consideration,' 'Julie and Julia,' 'Two and a Half Men,' and 'Criminal Minds.'

'The Three Stooges' was a hugely successful franchise of shorts, television episodes, and feature-length films beginning in the 1930s with lasting success even through today. The stooges originally consisted of Moe Howard, his brother Shemp (and later Curly), and Larry Fine.

The Farrelly Brothers film is being presented by 20th Century Fox; no release date has yet been set.
