MILFORD, Conn., April 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ Thanksgiving aficionados rejoice! The SUBWAY sandwich chain is excited to announce that beginning April 11, guests visiting their neighborhood sandwich shops do not have to wait until November to enjoy their favorite sandwich with thick cut Carved Turkey.

"When we were exploring the new thick cut Carved Turkey, we were inspired by not only the strong emotional connection, but versatility of its flavor profile," says Chris Martone, executive chef of SUBWAY sandwich shops. "The Carved Turkey can be deliciously paired with many of the fresh vegetables on our menu, as well as with our delicious cheeses, sauces, and with the new thick cut Applewood smoked bacon."

The new thick cut Carved Turkey sandwich available at your local sandwich shop is made with tender, juicy, all white meat oven-roasted turkey breast free of artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. This flavorful and wholesome choice, made with spinach and other fresh veggies, will be added to the permanent menu nationwide, marking another addition to the SUBWAY Fresh Fit collection.

In addition, the new Carved Turkey with Applewood Smoked Bacon sandwich will be available as a limited time offering, and will feature the new crispy and smoky sweet Applewood Smoked Bacon on toasted Italian Bread topped with American cheese and fresh vegetables.

The introduction of the new Carved Turkey, which does not include any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives fits in with the brand's commitment to remove all artificial colors, flavors and preservatives from its menu by 2017.
