Jarden Home Brands, makers of Ball brand home canning products, today announced the first-of-its-kind appliance revolutionizing the fresh preserving process, the Ball FreshTECH Automatic Home Canning System. This unique countertop appliance takes the guesswork out of the home canning process and enables consumers to auto-preserve freshly made foods with the push of a button, using up to 30% less time, 60% less energy (enough to power more than 100 average American homes in a year) and 85% less water (enough for 14 average American homes in a year) when compared to traditional water bath canning methods.

The innovative appliance simplifies the home canning process of preserving your favorite fresh produce into jams, jellies, pickles, fruits, salsas, tomatoes, sauces and more. With patent-pending SmartPRESERVE Technology, an energy efficient hybrid technology that automatically senses and constantly monitors time and temperature and adjusts for altitude, the appliance eliminates the need for stove-top monitoring providing valuable time savings for home canners. The appliance uses dual temperature sensors and seven built-in safety features to ensure foods are processed at the correct temperature every time for safe, shelf-stable storage for up to a year.
