Pounds & Ounces NYC Pub in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City is featuring special menu selections for the holiday weekend. To celebrate Independence Day, they will present healthy, gourmet "fireworks" with two specials by Executive Chef Margaret LaVetty.

The red, white and blue "Watermelon Pizza" is a large circular seedless watermelon slab, agave sweetened Greek yogurt, diced seasonal strawberries blueberries and raspberries topped with fresh mint and toasted coconut.

The "Quinoa Crusted Fried Chicken" is chicken, brined overnight then marinated in yogurt coated in quinoa flakes and oven baked to crispy perfection served served with watermelon and radish salad.

The Watermelon Pizza is a patriotic dish for vegetarians and the chicken has the taste and crunch of classic fried chicken without the calories, fat and oil used in frying.

Pounds & Ounces NYC Pub will be open on Friday, July 3rd for lunch and dinner from noon to midnight, Saturday, July 4th for brunch and dinner from 11:00 am to midnight and on Sunday, July 5th from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm for brunch and dinner.

Pounds & Ounces NYC Pub is located at 160 8th Avenue (at 18th Street), New York, NY 10011. Call them at (646) 449-8150 or visit www.poundsandouncesnyc.com.
