Lady Pickwick's & Moxy Restaurant to Host Galentine's Benefit for SASS/A Safe Place

Lady Pickwick's and Moxy are thrilled to host GALentine's Day, a benefit dinner in support of SASS (Sexual Assault Support Services) and A Safe Place. Rustle up some lady friends (gents are welcome, too!) and come out Tuesday, February 3rd at 7:00 PM to enjoy a five-course American tapas experience with complimentary wine and beer service. With your reservation, you will also enjoy an intimate sneak preview of Back Alley Productions upcoming production of The Vagina Monologues with select members of the cast and director, Joi Smith. A large portion of the proceeds of this evening go directly to support SASS/A Safe Place.

The Vagina Monologues are a part of V-Day Portsmouth, celebrating its tenth year on the Seacoast with a special showing at The Music Hall on February 21st at 8 PM. V-Day is a global movement to end violence against women of all ages, races, and creeds. In reflection of the message of female empowerment that is the crux of The Vagina Monologues and V-Day, Moxy and Lady Pickwick's are proud to present an evening that brings and binds women together in support of SASS and A Safe Place.

Executive chef Matt Louis, a New Hampshire native who cut his teeth at such great culinary institutions as Bouchon in California and Per Se in New York City, sources Moxy's ingredients locally and extends that community spirit into his gracious support of this evening. Lady Pickwick's, a Parisian-inspired women's boutique experience that is part of the Pickwick's Mercantile family, is proud to be the primary sponsor of V-Day Portsmouth 2015 and a host for this GALentine's Day event. Additionally, food sponsors Dole and Bailey and Seaport Fish stepped up to the plate (so to speak!) in helping to provide food for the event. Libations will be provided by woman owned and operated New England Uncorked and Throwback Brewery.

GALentine's Day: A Gastronomic Love Letter to SASS/A Safe Place is a single evening event to be hosted at Moxy Restaurant, 106 Penhallow Street, Portsmouth, on Tuesday, February 3rd at 7:00 PM. Reservations are required for this event. Service is $60 per person or $200 for a group of four, to be paid at the table on the evening of the event (tax and gratuity not included).
