Grand Bazaar NYC Will Host A Special NYC Food Truck Fest on 3/12

A special one-day-only NYC Food Truck Fest co-hosted by The New York Food Truck Association will take place on Sunday, March 12th at Grand Bazaar NYC (100 W. 77th Street) from 10am - 5:30pm. Grand Bazaar NYC is the city's largest curated weekly shopping market, with over 100 curated vendors featured each week filled with talented local artists, designers, and independent antique and vintage dealers selling one-of-a-kind, rare, and limited edition art, antique watched, vintage collectibles and fashion, handmade jewelry and furniture. Every Sunday, new purveyors and pop up shops are brought in to create a unique experience for visitors every time they stop by. On March 12th locals and tourists alike can come out to experience 12 gourmet food trucks in addition to the market's vendors.

Vendors who will participate in this year's inaugural NYC Food Truck Fest include fresh lobster rolls from Luke's Lobster, Souvlaki GR, Sweet Chili, Carl's Steaks and Neapolitan Pizza from Neapolitan Express. Launched in NYC by Mayor Mike Bloomberg and energy magnate T. Boone Pickens, Neapolitan Express was created to re-invent the fast casual food industry in a sustainable way. Their individual size pies are made with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella to achieve a crisp and airy crust. The first and only grilled cheese truck in NYC, Gorilla Cheese NYC will serve their take on grilled cheese, from a classic American melt, to BBQ pulled pork, cheddar, caramelized onions and chipotle aioli. These melt-in-your-mouth options are served with tater tots and tomato soup shooters. The Empanada Sonata, voted 2016 Rookie Food Truck of the Year by Mobile Cuisine, will offer at least 15 delicious, homemade empanadas ranging from the classic beef empanada, to a dessert-based Nutella and banana empanada. Last but not least, satisfy your sweet and savory cravings with stuffEd French toast from STUF'D. At the festival, they will offer top savory sellers including Buffalo chicken, Momma's Meatball and more, as well as s'mores bites and other tasty treats.

Grand Bazaar NYC was created in order to give back to the local Upper West Side community. Every time a vendor commits to selling their goods at the market, four schools in the surrounding area including PS 87, The Computer School, PS 334 and PS 452 benefit. 100% of the net profits benefit over 4,000 public school children by providing them with much need school supplies, books, art enrichment and sports programs.
