No matter what end of the political spectrum you're on, likely you will be yearning for a drink on election night. And Andrea Correale, the Founder and President of Elegant Affairs has created some fantastic patriotic cocktails. Between the scandals, the investigations and the debates, this election cycle has required a good, strong drink.

Whether you're leaning left or right, get the shakers ready and try out these red, white, and blue boozey recipes to celebrate Election Day 2016 in true American style.

Patriotic Sangria

1 bottle dry white wine (suggest chardonnay)

2 cups (1 pint) fresh blueberries

1 cup fresh raspberries

1 cup apple juice (or white grape juice)

1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 bottle champagne (or any variety of sparkling white wine)

3-4 Granny Smith apple

Ice

Stir together white wine, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and apple juice together in a large pitcher. Cover and refrigerate for 1-4 hours, so that the flavors can meld. When you're ready to serve the sangria, gradually stir in the champagne and apples and ice.

The Democratic Donkey

1/2 oz light rum

1/2 oz blue curacao

1 oz pineapple juice

1/2 oz coconut cream

1 cup of crushed ice

Combine rum, curacao, pineapple juice and coconut cream in a shaker. Shake and pour over ice.

The Red Republican

1 oz Vodka

1 oz Raspberry Liqueur

1 oz Lime Juice

Pour vodka, raspberry liqueur and lime juice in a shaker. Shake and Strain into an old fashioned glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

These drinks will surely help you to take in the final results of Election 2016 and toast the winners.
