Tango Buenos Aires, the world's most acclaimed and authentic tango company, arrives at Marin Center Sunday, January 11 at 3pm at the Marin Veteran's Memorial Auditorium (10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael.)

Tango Buenos Aires has become one of Argentina's great cultural exports, known throughout the Americas, Europe and the Far East as the most authentic and uncompromising representative of the Tango.

Created by renowned composer and tango director Osvaldo Requena, Tango Buenos Aires was immediately met with tremendous success and added to the season of the General San Martin Municipal Theatre.

Since 1986, the company has traveled extensively throughout the United States and has performed in dozens of cities and at festivals around the world including China, Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Scandinavia, Bangkok and Malaysia.

In 2005, Julian Vat, Argentina's most prolific composer and leading musician assumed the title of music director. Due to the extraordinary success of their 2003 U.S. tour, the Company returned in 2007 and again in 2011. Tango Buenos Aires' 2015 touring schedule includes a two and half month Coast to Coast tour of the United States and Canada.

Marin Center Presents performances have delighted Bay Area audiences for over 26 years. The spring 2015 season will once again spotlight acclaimed and celebrated entertainment from around the world. As the major performing arts, events center, and fairgrounds in Marin County, Marin Center serves the community by presenting and expanding a variety of multi-cultural theater presentations, affordable rental venues, and professional expertise.
