You're in for a fair trade with Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre/Northwest's newest work, Something to Declare, Friday, Sept. 6 & Saturday, Sept. 7 | 8pm | $25. The dance performance created by Heidi Duckler will be performed at the Custom House, 220 NW 8th Ave., Portland, OR.

Featuring seven fearless dancers "imported" from Seattle, Eugene, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, Something to Declare will invigorate the historic Custom House, a renowned architectural and economic site built in 1901. Traveling between the building's majestic interior stairwell and grand courtyard, the interdisciplinary dance performance will synthesize the Custom House's stories of trade and transition intodaring physical movement.

Paired with striking lighting design by Jennifer Lin, live musical accompaniment by composer N.F. Chase (whose work was deemed "the Rite of Spring meets Metallica," by the Los Angeles Times), and young soprano voices from the Portland Boychoir led by Artistic Director David York, the event provide a unique "port of entry" for Portland's residents into the West Coast's cultural landscape.
