Former Citie Ballet Dancers to Take Ballet Company to Court

Two recently fired directors with Citie Ballet and husband and wife team, will take the ballet company to court on September 3. Former artistic director Francois Chevennement and former assistant artistic director and ballet mistress Laurence Menotti have worked with the company for the past nine years and were both fired on March 7.

As a result, three dancers left the company and the conflict has resulted in possible damage to the ballet company's reputation.

One of the former dancers, Jennifer Curry said: "People across the country know about it, and then you can't get that kind of high calibre talent our way ... if they know that we treat our artist that way."
