The Dance Complex brings you an interesting and delicious array of dance in performance - featuring regional contemporary choreographers and companies, including those from the rosters of our faculty in Fall is Rising: Faculty & Friends and new works made in our aMaSSiT Lab- never before seen performance creations;

aMaSSiT - A Make It/Share It/Show It - Co-Mentoring Creative - Lab, that establishes dialogue among up and coming and established artists and the creation of new works;

I-ARE: The Integrated Artists Residency Exchange Program in its initial year, with first recipients Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp and Crystal Nillson;

The Master Class Series, co-produced by The Dance Complex and Prometheus Dance, bringing International Artists to Our Studios, including Stephen Petronio;

The Sunday Salons, featuring poetry, music and dance in informal settings co-presented by The Dance Complex and poet/writer Daniel DeLoma;

A Learn and Dance Party! Series, featuring social styles in mini-lessons for every level of dancer, followed by a DJ'ed dance party where newly learned skills in salsa, rueda, tango or 70's era-dances can be shown off;

Our first in a series of Gallery Showings, with our initial exhibiting artist one of our own: Jayne Murphy, who has cared for the building, the theatre and, as a lighting designer, illuminated choreographers' stage works, reveals another side to her creativity in her own paintings. Her works will be on display in the newly refurbished 2nd floor lobby of The Dance Complex;

And in the new year, brave the cold with Winter Wonder Dance Festival: The Dance Complex will bring together resident and guest faculty to teach and create new dances with all levels of students over a four day dance event January 2 - 5. Jennifer Nugent (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane and Co.) Eleonore Scott (So You Think You Can Dance finalist) and David Parker (The Bang Group; recent Guggenheim recipient) join, along with other guest artists pending. Students will learn, create and perform for a refreshing and crisp four days. We will also supply the hot cocoa!
